This system is more secure than a general web-based PACS system because access is very limited. Unlike a web-based PACS where files are being continually accessed by many clinicians, our backup repository does not serve medical imaging files all day, every day. Rather it acts as an emergency backup. The primary health record is the patient’s RadCard™
